MY PROCESS

After you get in touch, I’ll schedule a 30-minute call to see if we’re a good fit. I’ll ask some questions to find out how we can reach your goals together, and you can ask me about my approach, work style, or anything else you like. I’ll typically provide a ballpark project schedule and price range here as well, and if those suit your needs, we’ll move on to step two: the project proposal.

The project proposal will include deliverables, a project schedule, pricing options, and standard terms. This is the perfect time to adjust elements of the project to better fit your timing or budget. When you’re ready to get started, I’ll send an initial invoice (usually for 50% of the total fee). With a signed agreement and first invoice paid, we’ll be ready to kick things off.

We’ll take a deep dive into your goals and challenges, define your ideal customer, identify key competitors, and most importantly, determine a sharp point of view statement that sets you apart. The information from this call serves as the foundation for all other steps in the project and can serve as a key definer of your brand strategy for years to come.

There are many ways to solve creative problems, and this step starts bringing them to life. I’ll leverage our discovery to present 2-3 stylescapes, each with color, typography, and visuals that address your brief in distinct ways. This phase lets you behind the scenes early in the project and helps us make decisions together before going down the rabbit hole into full logo options.

After choosing a stylescape and setting our strategy, we'll move into the bulk of the project. Depending on deliverables and scope, this phase can take a number of weeks. The initial presentation will include fully formed logos, in addition to real-world mockups that show how it will work in context. Live feedback is always appreciated, but I’ll give you time to digest on your own as well.

Each project will have a set number of revision rounds (3-5 max). Feedback is best-handled on a quick call to ensure we’re on the same page and that the strongest solutions are reached. Once we come to a final decision on the project’s direction we’re ready to move to the final phase. Depending on project scope, a second invoice may be due at this point.

We’ve reached the end of the road, on this project at least. In this final phase, I’ll package up all project assets, create brand guidelines (if included in scope), and provide everything you and your teams need to roll things out easily and efficiently.
The final invoice will be due before delivery of final files.
